Join Rodef Shalom Congregation's Librarian, Sam Siskind, as we discuss "The Man who Sold Air in the Holy Land" by Omer Friedlander. The winner of the 2023 Association of Jewish Libraries Fiction Award, The Man who Sold Air in the Holy Land is a collection of eleven short stories which take place in Israel and offer a deep and sincere look at Israeli society and way of life. The collection looks at human communication and relationships amid the backdrop of the political situation. Friedlander, an up-and-coming voice who is still in his twenties is a Jerusalem native, educated in Britain and the US, has already won numerous awards, and has been supported by several prestigious scholarships and fellowships.
