Tish'a B’Av (the Ninth of Av) is an annual fast day commemorating the destruction of both the First Temple and Second Temple in Jerusalem, which occurred about 655 years apart, on the same Hebrew date.

Details:

The ninth day of the month of Av is the most mournful day of the Jewish year, a container for virtually every tragedy that has occurred in our history.

The whole community is invited to join us at Temple Sinai for a Tish'a B'Av service starting at 7:15 p.m.


Evening Schedule:

  • Minhah - 7:15 p.m.

  • Light Meal - 7:45 p.m.

  • Panel Discussion - 8:15 p.m.

  • Ma’ariv - 9:00 p.m.

  • Reading of Megillat Eikhah - 9:15 p.m.

  • Singing "Eli Tziyyon," conclusion of Ma'ariv - 10:00 p.m.
