Gerald Robbins returns to Rodef Shalom Congregation for an evening of chamber music with Roy Sonne, Tatjana Mead Chamis, and Adam Liu.  They will perform quartets for piano and strings by Brahms and Mozart and the rarely heard Marchenbilder by Schumann for viola and piano.  His earliest achievements as a prize winner of both the Young Musicians Foundation in Los Angeles and the Van Cliburn Competition in Texas propelled him to his successful career.  Robbins has performed in most major concert halls throughout the world.

Appearing with Mr. Robbins is Tatjana Mead Chamis, viola.  She is the featured soloist in the Schumann work.  Ms. Mead Chamis has distinguished her career with successes as a principal violist, chamber musician, soloist, Latin Grammy-nominated recording artist, teacher and lecturer, as well as advocating for underheard or suppressed music and experimenting with new music.  She has held the title of Associate Principal Viola of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra since 2002.
