Pajama Havdalah with Author Ilana Wieder

Our author will share her story book, Shira the Singing Puppy, while we celebrate Havdalah together!

About the Book

Shi­ra the pup­py loves to ​“sing” in her pup­py howl. All week long though, when Shi­ra starts to sing, peo­ple say, ​“Hush and shush, Shi­ra. Not today.” But on Sat­ur­day night, when the sky turns dark, it’s time for Hav­dalah. Is it final­ly time for Shi­ra to sing? Kids will enjoy going on a jour­ney with Shi­ra as they learn about Shab­bat and Hav­dalah customs.

About the Author

Ilana is an author, a play­wright, and a stage direc­tor. Shi­ra the Singing Pup­py is her debut pic­ture book. Ilana is the founder of Shalom Writ­ers cri­tique group. When she’s not writ­ing or direct­ing, Ilana loves to read, paint, trav­el with her fam­i­ly, and play with her dog, Mitzi.
