The Music of Poetry and the Poetry of Music

The program includes music from Broadway, readings of original poetry, and classical music pieces.

The program is coordinated by Judith Dorian, poet and pianist, who has her doctorate in musicology from the University of Pittsburgh. For several years she wrote the program notes for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concerts and has published several articles in music and literary journals. She wrote and illustrated A Tiny Little Door, a collection of poetry for children. Performing with her are Catherine Bomstein, soprano, Dave Bomstein, clarinet, Jeffrey Borrebach, cello, Shaheen Dil, poet, and Natalie Kasievich, violin.
