Women of Rodef Shalom Book Series: The Promise

Join us for light refreshments and a book review by Jacques Besnainou, Chief Commerical Officer of Westinghouse and author of The Promise: A Tale of Two Families Betrayed by France and Saved by the French.

The book covers the stories of two families, Jacques' and his wife Isabelle's, separate yet similar experiences was Jewish families during World War II in Nazi-occupied France.  The author, and accomplished executive, took the time to write the book as a promise to his mother who was the inspiration for the book and wanted the stories to be told.  Jacques will be joined at this event by his wife, Isabelle Besnainou, Dean of The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
