Have you started thinking about Passover? By this, we don’t mean planning your menu or considering whether you’ll be home or go out for a seder. We mean how you will remember the momentous events that happened to all of us more than 3000 years ago when we were redeemed from Egypt. The experience is burned into the memories of all Jewish people, yet every year we celebrate it anew and with a fresh perspective.
So, on the fourth night after your dinner at home, please bring your family and join WRS for a seder first created 27 years ago by the Women of Rodef Shalom, revised over the years, and just updated again. While the text in our Haggadah recognizes the integral role women have always played in Jewish life, and some of the graphics reflect centuries of seder traditions, our newest edition is inclusive, acknowledging the contributions and welcoming the participation of persons of all backgrounds and identities, and those who often feel unseen or unheard.
This model seder, with no charge, will be followed by dessert.
