7:30 PM Talk and Q&A with Miriam Anzovin in Levy Hall: Jewish Texts as Jewish Identity
Also available on Zoom and streaming on Facebook and Youtube
How can we use texts to live confidently with our Jewish identity? Miriam will speak openly about how her life experiences as a formerly Orthodox woman, and now secular Jew, led her to deep emotional engagement with Jewish text study and affirmed her joy in Jewish living.
Miriam Anzovin is the creator of the “Daf Reactions” series on Tiktok, exploring the juxtaposition of pop, nerd, and Jewish culture. Her work encourages her audience to engage with Jewish literature, history, and tradition in creative ways authentic to each individual, no matter their level of knowledge, belief, or observance.
Miriam Anzovin's talk is supported by the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, Congregation Beth Shalom, Rodef Shalom Congregation, and the Joint Jewish Education Program. Find out more about Saturday and Sunday's programs with Miriam at JJEP.org.
