Friday, May 15: Pursuing Peace, Carrying Memories
A Shabbat honoring the legacy of Rodef Shalom Congregation
5:30 PM Shabbat Service
In Person and Online @ YouTube | Facebook
As we prepare to begin a new chapter as Beit Kulanu, join us for a heartfelt Shabbat together to honor the legacy of Rodef Shalom Congregation. Gather with Senior Rabbi Emerita Sharyn Henry, Rabbi David Young, and Music Director Don Megahan, for a Shabbat service filled with memory, gratitude, and connection.
Before and after our service, congregants of all ages are invited to add stories, reflections, and even drawings to our visual memory boards. We also invite you to bring a small physical object—a photo, memento, or something that holds a special memory of Rodef Shalom Congregation—to add to a community time capsule that will preserve the spirit of our congregation for years to come. If you would like to submit a photo digitally to be included, or cannot make it to our service on May 15 and would like to drop an item for our time capsule off, please email Kate Kim.
After our service, please stay for a festive oneg on Deaktor Terrace and the lawn, featuring some congregant-favorite recipes from Colleen Wolfson, fun with Mike the Balloon Guy, and more!
All ages are welcome! We hope you’ll join us as we honor and celebrate our community and look forward in hope.
