Rodef Shalom Congregation had quite an historic year unifying with Temple Sinai. Though, beginning with the Charter filed on November 9, 1856, our Congregation has always moved on a dynamic path. The lofty vision of twenty-four dynamic young men with young families and young businesses still leads us.
Created 169 years ago, the objective of Rodeph Scholem was to establish a vibrant Reform Jewish community and teach Judaism to their children. Excerpted from the Allegheny County Charter Book 1, page 162:

Look at us now. Fully committed to uniting with Temple Sinai, we have a solid and rich legacy guiding us in this unique opportunity to build a sustainable future.
We are especially grateful for your support, whether it’s your time, talent or treasure, to our Congregation. Your financial donation is critical in moving unification ahead by continuing an energetic Reform community with a Unified Religious School and an active Youth Group for children in grades K-12. With unification approved overwhelmingly by both Boards and congregants, your contribution will assist with legal filings required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania making it final.
