Tools for Elul: Debra Rokasky
I lost my job with UPMC in January 2012 after 27 years of employment. Also, 11 of my fellow employees lost their jobs.
After that, I became active at Rodef Shalom. I then started Hebrew lessons and had a Bat Mitzvah on April 13, 2013.
My life changed again when I started working as a cashier at Giant Eagle. Then, in February of this year, I moved over to the beer and wine department. Life was good until August 10, 2019. As I was driving to work, I was in an automobile accident. I was not hurt, but my car was a total loss. Fred and I decided that we should live without car. We have decided that we can live without a car.
If not now, when?
